Electric Heat
There are many different ways to have an off-peak electric heating system and receive the off-peak rate. The key is to have an automatic fossil fuel or heat storage backup to come on when your electric heat is being controlled. Examples of some common off-peak heating systems are an air source heat pump with an electric plenum heater and gas furnace; electric thermal storage system; electric floor heat with sand/slab heat storage and more.
